Kate Beckinsale knows age is just a number, but she still battles a huge public misconception.
Beckinsale, 50, denied the plastic surgery allegations in a video clip she shared on Instagram on Sunday, telling online bullies that she would no longer tolerate negative criticism about her features. .
“I hate talking about this because I don’t want to add to this conversation, but I do it because over time all kinds of insidious bullying takes its toll,” she complained on social media. “These videos may be 20 years apart from her. Maybe even more.”

In her post, she described one of her videos from when she lived in the UK as looking “more pale”, with her eyebrows plucked and wearing “that brown lipstick that everyone wears”.
“I’m posting this knowing it’s completely ineffective. This momentum is unstoppable,” she wrote. “But I’m posting this because no matter how someone looks, they don’t constantly criticize themselves for things they haven’t done, or are actually so obsessed with surviving the loss that I’m in right now. Being obsessed with being young is bullying. Stop it now.”
The “Serendipity” actress only returned to the red carpet last week after being hospitalized for an undisclosed medical scare in March.
