NYC kicks out long-term migrants in preparation for ‘summer surge’ of yet more illegal immigrants

The Big Apple is reportedly kicking immigrants out of their long-term homes to make room for a new wave of illegal immigration into the country. fox news digital.

Immigrant families staying at the shelter were told by the Department of Homeless Services that they needed to evacuate the area within 24 to 48 hours. And most families were not given the option to stay.

The city sent Wynn, one of New York City’s largest family shelter providers, a list of immigrants it wanted to evict in a short period of time. Fox News Digital reached out to Win, which insisted it cannot refuse the city’s order. Similar tasks were given to other evacuation centers in the city.

“Wynn firmly opposes shelter relocation, which is a cruel and pointless policy that the Department of Homeless Services must immediately stop. Evictions from shelters are a serious threat to families who are completing the end of the school year in the communities they came from. It only destabilizes children in particular, to know and trust,” the organization said.

“We must stand with our neighbors, elected officials, and most importantly, the people who call our shelters home and end these removals immediately.”

according to new york records, several immigrant families were interviewed about the new policy. The migrants were told by shelter staff that it would take 24 to 48 hours to gather all their belongings in preparation for the move. Some families were told they would be transferred the next day.

The report noted that while some families were able to delay their departure date, others were too scared to know what would happen if they insisted on staying.

“The city has expressed a desire to have dedicated units for migrants,” said Kristin Quinn, president and CEO of Win. It was necessary to create one.”

“We were obviously very concerned about this,” she added. “It would be incredibly flip-flopping.”

She went on to say she was concerned the city would receive more removal requests.

“I don’t think this is going to stop,” Quinn said. “They will.” [the city] Please come back to us with others. ”

daily signal report “New York City and state leaders don’t seem to have an answer to the influx of illegal immigrants. Approximately 100,000 people in 2023 — as well as throwing money at the problem and cannibalizing other state-funded services. ”

“These are not just abstract numbers; the Big Apple is being transformed by the crisis,” the report continued.

The number of illegal immigrants the Big Apple is expected to accept in the coming months remains unclear.
