High School Girl Shot When Bullet Came Through School Window in Gun-Controlled D.C.

On Friday, a 17-year-old girl was shot and killed when a bullet went through a window at Dunbar High School in Washington, DC.

NBC 4 Washington report The girl was talking to a teacher in a classroom on the second floor when the bullet struck her, police said.

Azhari Graves, 18, was arrested in connection with the shooting. Graves was part of a “group of teens” near the school and was shot when another group circled the area in a stolen car.

Graves’ attorney argued that surveillance footage did not show Graves firing the gun, hitting the girl.

WTOP I got it. Graves is being held without bail. The girl’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Giffords, a gun control group run by former Democratic Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, sums up D.C.’s gun laws as follows: feel stressed He said the district has “enacted some of the strongest gun violence prevention laws in the country.”
