Kwan was ruled out of Saturday’s win over the Los Angeles Angels after feeling a strained hamstring. At the time, it was just a precautionary measure, but an MRI scan revealed he was suffering from acute seizures, which will likely keep him sidelined for an entire month.
“This is very disappointing news,” Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt said. “We’re going to miss Kwanee very much. You can’t replace someone like that, but four weeks isn’t scary.”
Outfielder Steven Kwan, who was a major contributor to the Cleveland Guardians’ great start, will be out for four weeks due to a hamstring strain, the Guardians reported.

But it’s not all bad for Cleveland.
While Kwan’s injury is definitely disappointing for a team currently in first place in the AL Central Division, it presents a great opportunity for the Guardians to promote their top prospect. Kyle Manzard, has been absolutely killing it in the minor leagues. In other words, the Guardians have a potential replacement and can continue business as usual.
