Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Tuesday reignited calls to debate former President Trump, proposing a “total neutral zone” at the Libertarian Convention, which will host the event.
In a message to
“This is the perfect neutral ground for you and me to have a debate where I can defend my record for wavering supporters,” Kennedy Jr. wrote in a letter to Trump. “You yourself said you wouldn’t be afraid to argue with me as long as my poll numbers were decent. Well, you’re right. In fact, I’m better than any candidate in history from either major party. He is the only presidential candidate who voted highly” – a head-to-head race. ”
“So let’s meet at the Libertarian Convention and show the American people that at least two of the leading candidates are not afraid to debate each other,” he added. “I asked the convention organizers, and they want us to use our time on the ground to bring the American people the debate they deserve!”

Kennedy said he was “grateful” that Trump “called attention to the fraudulent polling methods used against you by the biased media under the influence of the DNC.”
“We have this concern too, and we are happy to show you the deceptive methodology used by DNC-allied polling organizations that pretend to be in the single digits. “Polls,” he said.
Kennedy pointed to polling results from Zogby, a contracted analysis firm. The independent presidential candidate said polls showed Trump “easily” defeated President Biden in a head-to-head matchup.
“I beat him too, even better. And each other, I beat you guys by a nail-biter,” RFK Jr. claimed. “In a three-way, you’re in the lead, but I’m getting stronger. In two new polls (CNN and Quinnipiac), I’m above the 15% debate threshold. In another poll ( Among young voters, I’m 26%. And you and I are part of America’s 70 million independent voters.

Six months before Election Day, Democratic and Republican nominees Biden and Trump will face off in the first election in 112 years in which a current and former president vie for the White House. Meanwhile, Mr. Kennedy has increasingly challenged Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump in recent weeks in debates in which he wants to make his independent candidacy more mainstream.
Mr. Kennedy’s campaign remains determined to get him on the ballot in all 50 states. So far, RFK Jr. is on the ballot in 10 states, The Hill reported.

Either Biden or Trump will be the oldest president in history to take the oath on Inauguration Day.
President Trump is currently facing the first of four criminal trials, facing felony charges. The Constitution does not prevent a person from serving as president even if he or she has been convicted of a crime or is in prison.
Biden, who will turn 82 just weeks after Election Day on Nov. 5, is already the oldest president in U.S. history. Mr. Trump is 77 years old.

Privately, Democratic operatives close to the campaign say they are constantly worried about Biden’s health and voters’ vague perceptions of it, according to the Associated Press. In recent weeks, his aides have begun walking alongside Biden as he travels across the South Lawn of the White House to and from the presidential Marine One helicopter, clearly trying to hide the president’s stiff gait. It seems so.

Still, neither party has made any serious contingency plans, assuming that the showdown in the general election is all but decided.
