Biden gives 3-word response when asked when he’ll debate Trump

President Biden responded with three words when asked if he would debate former President Trump before the election.

“Get ready,” the Democratic president told reporters Thursday afternoon after a ceremony celebrating the WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces.

Biden’s statement came after Trump repeatedly said he intended to debate Biden. “Anytime, Anywhere, Anywhere”

Two weeks ago, Biden said he would be “happy to debate” potential 2024 Republican presidential candidates.

“I’ll be there somewhere, I don’t know when,” the president said in an interview with broadcaster Howard Stern on Friday, April 26. “I would be happy to debate him.”

Trump campaign urges Biden to debate ‘sooner and more often’

Shortly after Mr. Biden’s interview with Mr. Stern, Mr. Trump posted on his Truth social account inviting him to debate Mr. Biden at a lower Manhattan courthouse.

“Or he’s in New York City today, and maybe he doesn’t know it, but so am I, and one of the many trials he’s instigated for election interference against his political opponents, an ongoing witch hunt.” I’m caught up in this!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “That’s the only way I think he can win. In fact, let’s have a debate tonight in court. On national television, I’ll be waiting!”

The former president also suggested the White House as a venue, saying it would be “very comfortable” for the two of them.

“We’re going to do it at the White House,” President Trump said. “Actually, it would be very comfortable. Just tell me where it is and I’ll be ready.”

President Trump has repeatedly told reporters that he is “ready, willing and able” to debate Biden.

“We’re ready, we’re willing, we’re capable. I don’t see him and I don’t think he’ll be here, probably next week,” Trump told reporters in Manhattan Criminal Court. I will do that,” he said.

“I doubt that,” President Trump said. “But maybe next week.”
