Mace on Gaza war: ‘The promised land’ is Israel’s; ‘Biblical warfare, plain and simple’

Congresswoman Nancy Mace (RS.C.) opined on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, calling it a “biblical war.”

“Israel does not occupy the land, it owns it. The Promised Land is theirs.” Posted by Mace on social media platform X. “This is a Biblical war, plain and simple.”

Mace, like many other Republicans, has supported Israel’s right to defend itself after the Oct. 7 Hamas attack.

In a December interview, Mace harshly criticized House Democrats for not speaking out against Hamas’ sexual violence against Israelis that day.

“I can’t think of anything more shameful than watching these women’s groups, seeing women on the left, women in the House of Commons, colleagues on the left refusing to say what this is. This is disgraceful.” It’s disgusting. It’s barbaric,” she said. “And we should condemn it from every corner of the country. All women should condemn this. And I think it’s shameful.”

Mace is a rape victim herself and is an outspoken advocate against sexual violence. She drew on her own experiences to express her sadness about the violence suffered by Israeli women.

“So we now know, we know that Hamas’ battle plan was to systematically infiltrate and rape, mutilate and kill these Israeli women,” Mace said. Told. “And I – I’m a rape survivor, but the difference is that I survived. But many of these Israeli women don’t, they get mutilated and murdered while the incident is happening. I did.”

The Hill has reached out to Mace’s office for further comment on her post and the war.
