Charlamagne tha God says Republicans are ‘crooks’ and Democrats are ‘cowards’

Charlamagne the God, the popular host of the radio show The Breakfast Club, blamed the conservative and liberal media establishment for creating division in America.

“We’re insane right now,” Charlamagne said of the current state of American politics in an interview with The New York Times.

“I really blame the media for what’s going on,” he said.

Charlamagne said he believes in telling both sides the truth and “being objective.”

“I tell people all the time, ‘If you lie about Democrats, they won’t believe you when you tell the truth about Republicans,'” he explained. “So why would I sit there and lie to people about the flaws I see in the Democratic Party?”

Charlamagne also talked about the three choices he thinks voters will have in this year’s presidential election.

“There are three choices in this election: Republicans who are frauds, Democrats who are cowards because they don’t fight hard enough, and the couch.” “And the couch is leading to voter apathy.”

Charlamagne said that while Americans are generally “disappointed with politics,” he still believes the 2024 presidential election will undoubtedly be the “most important election” of his lifetime. he said.

“But it’s hard to get people to believe that, because we say that every presidential election and every Republican candidate is demonized,” Charlamagne acknowledged.

“It’s all about people being fed up with the Democratic Party,” he added. “No, people are just tired of politics.”

The podcaster and radio host cited several media controversies he has appeared in in recent years, some of which he claimed were unfairly exaggerated by “right-wing media.”

Charlamagne told ABC in February that Biden is a “bland candidate” who lacks charisma and “absolutely lacks the energy of a leading man.”

Just two months later, Charlamagne said that DEI efforts are “well-intentioned” but “mostly garbage,” and that diversity efforts are backfiring at companies across the country and actually hurting working conditions for Black employees. He claimed that it was making things worse.
