Bronny James’ only priority is going to the NBA, not teaming up with his father.
Much has been said about LeBron James, the father of superstar Bronny, and his comments about wanting to play in the NBA with his son one day, but the younger James doesn’t have that many priorities.
“My dream was always to get my name out there, make a name for myself and go to the NBA,” James told reporters at the draft conference in Chicago on Tuesday. “Everyone’s end goal is here. I never thought about just playing with my dad, but of course he brought it up a few times. But yeah, I don’t really think about it. hey.”
The idea of the father-son duo playing together in the NBA has been floated by LeBron for some time, saying he would like to play professionally with his son someday.
But lately, LeBron has distanced himself from that idea.
Asked how he would feel if he had the chance to play alongside his father, Bronny reiterated his desire to make a name for himself apart from his father.
“I’d be happy to be in the league rather than thinking about playing with my dad. That’s not my mindset at all right now. I’m just trying to work hard and see where it goes from there. is” NBA draft candidate spoke to reporters.
James declared for the 2024 NBA Draft next month, but also retained his college eligibility.
He has until May 29 to decide whether to return to college or the pros.

James appeared in 25 games in his first year at USC, averaging 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
His first collegiate action came after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a University of Southern California practice last summer and was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
