A small amount of a white powdery substance, which tested positive for cocaine at the scene, was found inside a small Ziploc bag approximately 1 inch by 1 inch, the report said. United States Capitol Police (USCP).

The bag was found on the ground in the hallway of USCP’s main office.
A hallway on the second floor serves as a storage area for supplies and furniture. Various contractors and employees frequent this space.
Additionally, offices for report processing, prisoner processing, crime scene investigation, and intelligence operations are located nearby.
Just before 1 p.m., a police officer found a bag in the middle of the floor and immediately reported it to a supervisor. Testing of the residue at the scene revealed the presence of cocaine.
An investigation has now been opened by the USCP Bureau of Investigation, and tests will be conducted on the buggy, including DNA testing, to find fingerprints.
This latest drug discovery follows another cocaine investigation after a small bag was discovered at the White House more than 10 months ago. On July 2, a small bag containing a white powder was discovered by Secret Service agents in a storage box in the West Wing.n.d., located one floor below the office, near the situation room. However, the Secret Service ultimately ended the 11-day investigation without identifying any suspects.
