So close, yet so far away.
In January 2024, the Detroit Lions defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the wild card game, winning their first playoff game in 32 years.
And then I repeated the same thing the next week.
Dan Campbell’s team held off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round and advanced to the NFC Championship against the San Francisco 49ers, one win away from their first Super Bowl appearance.
Unfortunately, Jared Goff and company fell short by a score of 34-31.
Now, four months after that heartbreaking loss, Detroit is ready to do it all over again next season, and maybe even more.

How to watch/stream Lions games
There are many ways to watch Lions games live from the comfort of your home this season.
Campbell’s team can be seen on ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox, NBC and NFL Network on select dates.
Throughout the regular season, most NFC games will be broadcast on Fox.
For prime-time games, Sunday Night Football can be watched on NBC with Peacock, Monday Night Football is scheduled on ESPN, and Thursday Night Football is streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
