Paul Pierce stomps on Jalen Brunson jersey after Knicks’ loss

Paul Pierce was quick to celebrate the Knicks’ demise.

The Basketball Hall of Famer posted on social media shortly after the end of Game 7, where the Knicks lost 130-109 to the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden.

Pierce posted a video of himself stomping on Jalen Brunson’s jersey and repeating, “What did you say, buddy?” And he later added, “Are you guys still talking?”

Pearce posted two laughing emojis and three “quiet” emojis.

Brunson left the game midway through the second half with what was determined to be a broken hand by the Knicks.

OG Anunoby returned to the starting lineup but played just five minutes due to a hamstring strain.

Josh Hart played through an abdominal strain but was fouled and left the game.

Pierce played for the Boston Celtics from 1998 to 2013, winning the team’s title in 2008.

Had the Knicks won Sunday, they would have faced Boston in the Eastern Conference finals.

The Celtics defeated the Knicks in the first round of the 2011 playoffs with Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony-Amar leading the way.

The Knicks got revenge in 2013 by defeating Boston in six games in the first round.

The Knicks finished the series without Brunson, Julius Randle, Bojan Bogdanovic, Mitchell Robinson and Anunoby due to injuries.

The loss was their second straight Game 7 loss at home, most recently in the 1995 semifinals to Reggie Miller’s Pacers.
