A heated marathon day in the Minnesota House of Representatives, with state officials rushing to pass the bill before the Legislature adjourns in 2024, was still held to honor the Timberwolves’ Game 7 victory. I never stopped devoting time to it.
speaker: Representative Craft, talk about privilege.
Congressman Craft: I was hoping that Representative Niska would be here. Is it him? Apparently he had something to share. Congressman Niska, he seems very happy, is there anything he would like to share?
speaker: Representative of Niska.
Rep. Niska: yes. For those who don’t know: The Minnesota Timberwolves won Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals.
In a rare bipartisan effort, Mr. Kraft (D) asked Mr. Niska (R) to announce the Wolves’ loss. Most people in the chamber spent much of the day debating the bill, unaware that Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets would be sent on an early vacation thanks to a stunning 20-point comeback by the Wolves in the second half. Ta.
Sadly, the good vibes of Wolves’ victory didn’t last long. Immediately after the standing ovation for Anthony Edwards, KAT and others, confusion spread.. That’s politics for you.
