President Joe Biden quickly corrected another gaffe in a speech Monday in which he falsely claimed that American hostages “held by Hamas” were now safe.
The president made a gaffe during a celebration of Jewish heritage at the White House, saying Hersh Goldberg-Pollin was “here with us today” even though he remains in Hamas custody. Admitted.
“Just as we have already freed hostages, my administration is working around the clock to free the remaining hostages. And we have Hersh Goldberg-Pollin here today,” Biden said at the Rose Garden. I spoke at a party.
