Americans can’t afford MCDONALD’S as Bidenomics implodes

There is no question that inflation is out of control under President Joe Biden and families across the country are suffering from it.

and Sara Gonzalez While she’s not advocating eating fast food, she can’t help but notice that the current price of fast food shows just how devastating the problem has become.

At the end of 2019, a medium serving of fries at McDonald’s cost $1.79. That price has now risen 134.1% to $4.19. Similarly, a McChicken cost $1.29. It’s now up a whopping 201.6% to $3.89.

McDonald’s cheeseburgers increased in price by 215%, from $1 to $3.15.

“I don’t eat McDonald’s, but the fact is, a lot of average Americans do,” Gonzalez said. “As far as inflation and price increases go, this is a bad situation.”

McDonald’s isn’t the only chain to see price hikes on its menu items: Chick-fil-A and Taco Bell have also seen big hikes in their menu prices.

“This is not sustainable,” Gonzalez said. “If the average American has to take out a payday loan to buy groceries, then things are not moving in the right direction.”

Jaco Booyens points out that the food industry is not to blame for these astronomical prices.

“It’s fuel. It’s the movement of food through the country. We have the most complex food distribution network in the world. Our food travels farther than any other country’s food,” Booyens explains.

“When you stop drilling, when you stop producing fuel, when the resources are depleted, everything becomes more expensive.”
