Soros-Backed Portland DA Loses Reelection to Tough-On-Crime Prosecutor

The far-left district attorney in Portland, Oregon, has conceded that he lost reelection to a tough-on-crime candidate after voters blamed his policies for rising crime in the city.

Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said Wednesday evening. Election Predictions Local NBC station reported the post.

“It appears that I will not be able to serve another four years as Multnomah County District Attorney,” Schmidt said in a statement obtained by the outlet. “I called Nathan Vasquez to congratulate him on his victory.”

“While we may not always see eye to eye, I am committed to a smooth transition,” the district attorney continued, “I want to thank the incredible community for the support they’ve shown in this campaign, and I thank you all for the opportunity to serve these past four years, an honor I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

“I am committed to ending outdoor drug trafficking and drug use, connecting individuals to treatment, repairing the broken relationships between the District Attorney’s Office and the community, and ensuring that victims remain my office’s top priority,” he continued, thanking Schmidt for his professionalism and service.
