Former President Trump said that former Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley will “absolutely” be “joining our team in some way” in his rematch against President Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee was responding to Haley’s comments that she would vote for Trump in two interviews after a major campaign rally in the Bronx, his first public comments since announcing the end of his White House campaign.
Haley, who was Trump’s final rival in the fiercely contested Republican primary before suspending her campaign more than two months ago, had not previously endorsed him. During a question-and-answer session after a speech at a conservative think tank in Washington on Tuesday, she was asked who is stronger, Biden or Trump, on national security issues.

But Haley, who has continued to win nearly 20% of the vote in Republican presidential primaries since withdrawing from the race, said Trump would be wise to reach out to the millions of people who voted for me and continue to support me.
“I appreciate what she said,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News’ Lawrence Jones on “Fox and Friends” that aired Friday.
“The party is united,” he stressed.
