Utah man dead after jet ski slams into rock wall at state park reservoir

A jet ski occupant died Wednesday after crashing into a rock wall in a reservoir along Utah’s East Canyon State Park, rangers said in a press release.

According to the Utah State Parks Service, Benjamin Paul Rosser, 30, of Salt Lake City, was operating a jet ski alone on the reservoir when he was involved in the accident on the west side around 7:30 p.m.

A nearby fisherman heard the collision, saw the wreckage and immediately called for help, and Rangers headed to the scene in a patrol boat.
