Trump Vows to Put a ‘Libertarian’ in his Cabinet, ‘Senior Posts’

Former President Donald Trump has vowed to install Libertarian Party members in his cabinet and “senior positions” in his administration if elected in November.

Speaking at the Libertarian Party National Convention TournamentTrump told attendees that if they chose to either nominate him or vote for him, “we will win together.”

“You heard the words” Trump Added“Nominate me or vote for me. Vote for me. The Libertarian Party wants to vote for me, and most of them will. And this is very important, because we have to get rid of the worst president in history. We will do it together. Without that, we risk four more years in power. We will not have a country.”

Trump’s remarks were met with a mix of boos and cheers from the audience.

“So what’s the point of the Libertarian Party getting 3 percent? Why risk letting this awful president destroy our country? He can get it done in a lot less than four years. It won’t take four years,” Trump added. “And that’s why I’m promising tonight that I’m going to put Libertarians in my Cabinet and I’m going to put Libertarians in senior positions.”

Trump’s promise to install libertarian officials in his administration won support from the crowd.

Some attendees were Trump supporters, but not all were fans of the former president. Some convention-goers handed out kazoos to party members who were instructed to interrupt Trump’s speech.

The convention descended into chaos on Friday night when delegates clashed ahead of President Trump’s speech.
