Rashida Tlaib twists the knife on ‘enabler’ President Biden, warns of November backlash

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a member of the Squad, slammed President Biden’s response to the Israeli-Hamas war during a surprise appearance at the Palestinian People’s Conference in Detroit on Saturday, an event attended by members of at least one organization considered a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

Rep. Tlaib (D-Mich.), 47, a long-time grievance holder of the 81-year-old Biden, accused Biden of being an “enabler” of “murderous war crimes.” [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] She criticized “Netanyahu” and was merciless toward her Democratic colleagues.

“President Biden says what’s happening in Gaza is not genocide. President Biden, where is your red line?” she yelled, as the crowd erupted in loud boos at the president.

“Every bullet, every gun, every weapon, every bomb that we send out, is costing schools here at home,” she continued.

The event, held at the Motor City’s Huntington Place convention center, was also attended by officials from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a Marxist-Leninist organization designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and several other governments. Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American woman to serve in Congress and one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress, along with Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), suggested anti-Israel protesters should apologize.

“It’s outrageous that they have to wait 10 years to apologise to you all for doing the right thing at this time,” she said.

She blasted Biden and many of her fellow Democrats who have condemned the disruptive elements of the anti-Israel protests that have swept college campuses across the country in recent weeks.

“It is shameful and cowardly that the Biden Administration and my colleagues in Congress continue to smear these people who are protesting to save lives, regardless of their faith or ethnicity. But we are not going to forget in November,” she asserted.

In February, Tlaib’s sister, Leila Elabed, spearheaded a campaign to vote “unconditionally” against Biden in the Democratic primary in protest of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Tlaib supported the initiative, but She was embarrassed As for whether to support him in November.

Ultimately, more than 100,000 Michiganders declared themselves “indifferent” in protest against Biden. Similar rebellions have erupted among progressives in many other states as the Democratic Party grapples with deep-rooted internal divisions over Israel.

Biden’s supporters highlight divisions within the Republican Party, with tens of thousands of them continuing to vote for him months after former presidential candidate Nikki Haley dropped out.

Biden has also attempted to walk a tightrope by publicly supporting Israel’s efforts to defeat Hamas while urging restraint. For example, he has irritated Israel by saying it lacked a proper plan for civilians when it invades the refugee-filled city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Last week, the International Criminal Court prosecutor announced his intention to seek arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and several Hamas leaders, including Yahya Sinwar, over Israel’s war with Hamas.

Biden quickly denounced the motion to apply for the warrant and stressed that the military operation in the Gaza Strip, which began after a Hamas surprise attack on Oct. 7, 2023, left 1,200 Israelis dead, was “not genocide.”

Parliament, in its week-long recess, is due to vote on sanctions against the ICC. Arrest warrants require approval from judges before they can take effect.

“Attacks on the authority of the International Criminal Court and interference in its legal process are nothing more than an attempt to prevent genocidal Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israeli officials from being held accountable for crimes against humanity,” Tlaib furious.

“President Biden, you’re an advocate.”

After a video of Tlaib’s remarks went viral on social media, Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) called for her removal from Congress.

“@RashidaTlaib should be removed from Congress immediately. Associating with and speaking to organizations funded by US-designated terrorist organizations is disqualifying,” he posted on X.
