Boxing champion Mike Tyson suffered a health crisis on a flight to Los Angeles on Sunday ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.
According to his agent, the boxer Ulcer recurrence, New York Post report.
“Thankfully, Mr Tyson is in good condition,” a representative for the star said. “30 minutes before landing, his ulcer worsened, causing him to experience nausea and dizziness. Mr Tyson is grateful to the medical staff who rushed to his aid.”
Tyson’s camp also said his flight was delayed by two hours because of problems with the plane’s air conditioning and not because of a medical procedure he was undergoing.

However, the paper also reported that the delay of at least 25 minutes was due to health concerns for Tyson.
Passengers said that about 30 minutes before landing in Los Angeles, a flight attendant used the plane’s communications system to ask if there was a doctor on board. The 57-year-old boxer was the first to be treated after the plane landed, while other passengers were stranded on board for about 25 minutes.
“He was in first class and we were sitting in the exit row. The stewardess was very chatty. They told us to stay on the plane and they would land so paramedics could get in,” a source told the media outlet. “She said something like, ‘He’s a really important passenger and we want to make sure he’s OK’. I knew it was him but I just said the words ‘Mike Tyson’ and she nodded.”
Tyson last fought in public in 2020, taking part in an exhibition bout that ended in a draw with Roy Jones Jr. His last sanctioned fight was in 2005.
Tyson recently joked that Paul would never be able to compete with him.
“He didn’t even get a knockout. [Nate] “Diaz,” Tyson said, “Diaz is 40 pounds. Can he knock me out? Anderson Silva. He couldn’t even knock out those little guys, can he knock me out? … He’s never knocked out a real man. He couldn’t knock out Tommy Fury. I’m gonna destroy Jake.”
Tyson also claimed he had abstained from sex and marijuana while training for the fight with Paul.

Meanwhile, Jake Paul has said he plans to make Tyson lose and end the champion’s career, boasting that “one of us has to die.”
“I love Mike. I have a lot of respect for him. It would be an honour to be in the ring with him, but I’ve got to beat him,” Paul said earlier this month.
“This is war. All is fair in love and war. I love the guy, but the minute it becomes a professional fight, one of us has to die.”
