“I will continue to deliver a hopeful and positive message of freedom to both those who consider themselves libertarians and those who don’t yet realize they are,” Oliver said in his victory speech, Fox News reported. “I’m proud to be a voice of freedom as the Libertarian Party’s presidential candidate,” Oliver told the Daily Caller, adding that he and his running mate, Mike Ter-Martin, “will deliver a unified message of true freedom and liberty to all 50 states, especially to Gen Z and millennials who are deeply frustrated with the broken two-party system.”
The new presidential candidate previously supported the Democratic Party and President Barack Obama’s campaign, The Guardian reports. reportHowever, he grew disgusted with the party due to its support for the Middle East wars, which he explained in a 2022 X post as the reason he “left the Democratic Party to find an anti-war party.”
Barack Obama, the man who opposed ending the war (and ended up not ending it and winning the Peace Prize), campaigns for the Democrats.
Let him remember the broken promises and the thousands of innocent people killed in drone bombings.

Oliver has been criticized for his stance on transgender issues, and explained his approach to the issue to the Daily Caller: “As with all health care issues, I support making individual decisions independent of government. I want individuals to be able to choose the medical care that’s right for them in consultation with their own physician if they so choose, rather than leaving that decision to a committee of bureaucrats and the politicians who enable them,” he said.
He said his candidates’ policies include ending involvement in and funding of wars, repealing the Ellis Island immigration law that would allow people with no criminal records to enter the country, repealing gun control laws, repealing the Patriot Act and the 2008 FISA amendments, and reducing government involvement in the economy to promote healthy free markets.
