Pop star Lizzo recently South Park The episode lampooned her body positive message and persona.
Lizzo shared her response in a TikTok video in which she filmed herself watching a clip from a South Park episode that simultaneously pokes fun at American obesity culture, American drug culture, and American body positivity culture. In the episode, Stan’s mother, Shelley Marsh, talks with Kyle’s mother about weight loss and why her insurance won’t cover the drug Ozempic. “I’m just like, damn,” she said. “I’m such a bitch. I’m such a bitch. It took a bunch of guys from Colorado finding out who I am and putting me in a comic that’s been running for 25 years to show the world how to love yourself and not give a damn. I’m such a bitch and I’ve shown people how you don’t have to give a damn and I’m going to continue to show people how you don’t have to give a damn.”
Lizzo ended the video by reciting a fake song. South Park advertisement.

Lizzo’s video is a stark departure from an Instagram post she made in March, in which she expressed disappointment at being “dragged by everyone.”
“The world doesn’t want me,” she said, lamenting the criticism she received.
“I’m tired of people dragging me down in my life and on the internet,” she says. “All I want is to make music and make people happy and leave the world a little better than the world I found it in.”
“But I’m beginning to feel like the world doesn’t need me,” she continued. “I am constantly battling the lies that are being told about me for fame and ratings… I am constantly being made a laughing stock because of the way I look… People who don’t even know me have degraded my character and insulted my name.”
“I didn’t want to take this shitty job,” she concluded. “I’m done.”
The post came a day after she faced criticism for appearing at a Manhattan fundraiser for Joe Biden, with people reportedly outraged that the president chose to feature her despite past allegations of misconduct, Breitbart News reported.
