Washington Commanders kicker Brandon McManus is being sued by two women who claim they sexually assaulted him on a flight to London last year while he was playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

McManus’ attorney, Brett R. Gallaway, said: He told ESPN His client strongly denies the allegations.

“These are completely false and demonstrably false allegations made as part of a campaign to smear and disparage a talented and respected NFL player,” Gallaway said in a statement to ESPN. “We will vigorously defend Brandon’s rights and integrity and restore his reputation by showing that these allegations are, in fact, an attempt at extortion.”

Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 allege that McManus would rub or rub against them during the flight. The women, who are also suing the Jaguars, claim the team did not supervise McManus or create a safe environment for them.
