Hollywood veteran Reagan Movie star Dennis Quaid said he would vote for former President Donald Trump in November, saying the U.S. justice system is being used as a weapon against Trump is a threat to the Constitution.
In an interview with Piers Morgan published online Tuesday, Dennis Quaid spoke about his support for Trump.
“I’m going to vote for him in the next election. Yes, I’m going to vote,” the actor said. “It’s not so much politics, I was not going to vote for Trump until I saw the weaponization of the justice system and the challenge to the Constitution.”
He added: “Trump is probably the most investigated person in the history of the world, and yet they haven’t been able to really get him.”

Asked if he liked Trump personally, Quaid said he was sometimes shaken up by Trump’s actions during his campaigns in 2016 and 2020.
“But what I loved about him as a president is everything he’s done,” the actor said, pointing to Trump’s tough stance against America’s adversaries abroad. “He stands up for the people. That’s what makes him a leader.”
“People may call him a jerk, but he’s a jerk to me,” he continued. “He truly feels he works for the American people, that’s what he’s all about. I believe that’s true and I believe that’s sincere.”
As for Biden, Quaid said, “I don’t feel like he’s at the helm. I don’t feel like he’s there. I don’t think he’s really believing what he’s saying, just to get votes.”
Quaid also spoke about his next film. Reaganis scheduled to be released in cinemas on August 30th.
During the interview, Quaid praised his co-star, actress Demi Moore. Essenceis an incredibly gory body horror film that recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival where it won Best Original Screenplay.
Essence It is scheduled to open in September.
