The left’s targeting of former President Donald Trump will do anything to keep him off the campaign trail, even if that means prison. Trump’s lawyer, Jesse Binnall, said: Breitbart News Daily.
Host Mike Slater asked Vinal whether Judge Juan Marchan would “immediately” try to send Trump to prison if the jury returns a guilty verdict in the New York business records trial.
“If he is found guilty, will he be sent to prison straight away?” Mr Slater asked.

“That’s up to Judge Marchan. They shouldn’t,” he said, pointing out the irony of the hypothetical situation: Left-wing prosecutor Alvin Bragg is among those who want to free violent criminals on the streets of New York City, yet they seem more than happy to jail a former president on a campaign spree.
“And let’s not forget, this prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, wants to keep violent criminals out of jail and roam the streets of New York, so, you know, he’s going to try to put someone in jail over this alleged bookkeeping error,” Vinal predicted.

“Again, it would be a political objective. But I would add, by putting him in prison, [that] “They’re keeping Joe Biden off the campaign trail and they know they need all the help they can get to win the election,” Vinal continued.
“So I think Judge Marchan wants to put Trump in jail,” Vinal continued, noting that Judge Marchan is keeping Trump out of the election trial by keeping him waiting for the jury’s verdict.
“He knows that this trial is a punishment, and that even if the jury returns a not guilty verdict, or even if the jury goes home, he still benefits from this case because he’s been able to prevent Donald Trump from going out and campaigning, while his chosen candidate, Joe Biden, is not only free to travel the country and campaign, but he’s used this case to attack Donald Trump,” Vinal said. “I think this is one of the greatest travesties of justice that we’ve ever seen in our nation’s criminal justice system.”
