Amazon Prime members getting free Grubhub subscriptions

Amazon Prime members will now receive a free, lifetime subscription to the food delivery service Grubhub+, the companies announced. Announced On Thursday.

This continued addition comes after Amazon offered Prime members a one-year membership to Grubhub+ in July 2022, and then extended the offer for another year in June 2023.

According to the companies, Grubhub+ membership includes free shipping on orders over $12, a discount on service fees and a 5% credit back on carryout orders.

Expanded partnerships, Announced On Thursday, the two platforms will begin integrating more seamlessly: All Amazon customers will be able to order food delivery directly from Grubhub through Amazon.com and the Amazon Shopping app.

“We know Prime members care about saving money on food delivery, which is why we’ve expanded free shipping and exclusive Grubhub+ deals for Prime members and made it easier for customers to access Grubhub from Amazon stores and the app,” Jamil Ghani, vice president of Amazon Prime, said in a statement.

“We’re excited to build on our successful partnership with Amazon by offering Grubhub’s network of hundreds of thousands of restaurants directly on Amazon.com and the Amazon Shopping app, providing even more convenience to Amazon customers,” Grubhub CEO Howard Migdal said in a statement.

The announcement follows a similar service recently announced by Amazon Prime, which offers a $139 annual membership that includes same-day delivery, a discounted membership to One Medical, and access to Prime Video.
