Asked Friday on “News Central” for his reaction to the former president’s guilty verdict in a business records trial in New York, CNN analyst Paul Begala said Donald Trump is “a fat, farting old man with bad makeup and a funny hairstyle.”
“Donald Trump needs to be paid hush money because every time he speaks he loses. He did better in that court case than I thought he would. The gag order was completely constitutional. It happens all the time. He’s hurting himself with his hysterical rants. Yes, he’s helping his base, but his base is not the majority of the country,” Begala said.
He continued, “I’m sure some MAGA people will sympathize. In some ways I do. He’s a fat, farting, make-up-wearing, funny-haired guy who had to sit in a courtroom and listen to a porn star testify about how awful he is in bed. If you can’t sympathize with the guy, then I don’t want him for president.”
Begala added, “The problem is he’s only thinking about himself. I think the Biden team should focus on this. Trump is doing it for himself. I’m doing it for you. That’s true. Trump is desperate to stay out of jail. His most important job right now is to stay out of jail. But he seems only obsessed with his own grievances, his grudges, his revenge, his business deals, his grievances about the last election, the last jury trial.”
