North Korea Sends Balloons Full Of Excrement, Trash To South Korea

North Korea has reportedly sent hundreds of balloons filled with garbage and waste to South Korea.

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said it began noticing a “large number of balloons” coming from North Korea on Tuesday night, and that as of Wednesday morning, the South Korean military had detected more than 150 “large number of balloons.”

Images released by the Joint Chiefs of Staff showed two giant balloons loaded with plastic bags and broken cargo, scattering paper, plastic fragments and what appeared to be soil onto sidewalks and roads.

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Jong Un, issued a statement regarding the move.

“North Korea’s actions are a clear violation of international law and seriously threaten the security of our people,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff said. “North Korea bears all responsibility arising from its balloons. We sternly warn North Korea to immediately cease its inhumane and low-level actions.”

South Korea issued a nationwide alert and urged its citizens to stay away if they came across any remains of unidentified balloons.
