Ian Poulter is scheduled to play in the LIV Golf Texas tournament this weekend but doesn’t have anything to play for now.
The 48-year-old flew to Texas from Heathrow Airport earlier this week but without his clubs.
Mid-flight, the airline emailed Poulter saying: “We’re pleased to inform you that your baggage was not accompanied today” and advised him to contact them about its delivery.

“@british_airways, so disappointing [sic]Poulter wrote on his Instagram Story. Daily Mail“I checked in 2.5 hours before my flight. What excuse can you give me? I got the email 3 hours after the flight started. If they don’t send me my golf clubs, I’m not going to get on the plane. I’m not going to get any fresh air.”
“Furious at @british_airways. My golf bag wasn’t overweight,” he said in another post. “It was oversized and they scanned it and I saw it fall off the belt. #pathetic.”

Poulter later added that Henrik Stenson’s clubs were also missing.
“You might find them too [sic] “Looking for mine. The only thing you guys do very well is charge for flights,” Poulter wrote.
Fox News Digital has reached out to British Airways for comment.
LIV will play at Houston Golf Club this weekend before competing in the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2. LIV’s schedule will return to its normal schedule after the majors to play at The Grove in Nashville.
