A ride-share driver in Orange County, California, shot and killed a naked man who was attacking a woman around 8 p.m. on Sunday, police said.
Korea ABC report The ride-share driver was dropping off a passenger when he saw a naked man “assaulting a 60-year-old woman.”
The ride-share driver began yelling at the naked man, who then began punching the ride-share driver’s vehicle. The driver then shot the man, who was hospitalized in stable condition.
KTLA talked We spoke with a neighbor who witnessed the incident. The neighbor said he looked out his window, witnessed what he believed to be an assault, and ran outside. By the time he got outside, the naked man had already begun punching the rideshare vehicle, the neighbor said.
Another witness said they heard the ride-share driver tell the man he would shoot him if he didn’t stop, then heard one gunshot, followed shortly thereafter by another.
The rideshare driver called 911 to report the incident and waited for police to arrive.
The woman who was attacked was treated at the scene and released from hospital.
