Authorities say a naked Florida man chopped off another man’s hand with a machete, then told officers, “Is he dead? I tried to kill him.”
According to police reports, Miami Gardens police received a 911 call around 4 a.m. Monday and found the victim with a severed hand and bleeding profusely from his head. Retrieved by WPLG.

Witnesses told police they saw Ryant running away from the horrific scene naked around the time of the attack.
After the victim described his attacker, officers found 54-year-old Tyrone Arthur Ryant lounging on a couch nearby, according to the report.
Police did not reveal a motive but said Ryant’s estranged wife, who has a restraining order against him, lives nearby.
As he was being arrested, Ryant, of Opalocka, told police, “Is he dead? I tried to kill him,” according to the television station.
The victim was transported to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital for treatment.
Ryant is charged with attempted murder with bodily injury and domestic violence/violation of a restraining order.
He is being held without bail at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
