Joe Rogan told his millions of followers that many rappers are showing their support for former President Donald Trump, who was convicted of falsifying business records.
The extremely popular podcast host interview Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made the comments on his show.
“Now they realize he’s trapped in the system, just like everyone else is rapping about being trapped in the system.”
“They’re changing the tone on this. They’re doing it. They’re trying to make Trump look bad, but the public isn’t stupid anymore,” Hinchcliffe said of Trump. “So clearly half the public still doesn’t get it.”
“So many rappers are coming out in support of Trump right now. It’s insane,” Rogan said.
“I mean, he got a felony,” he laughed. “So, you all realized he was stuck in the system. Like everyone’s rapping about being stuck in the system, stuck in this f**king system. And you’re watching it happen to him.”
“Exactly,” Hinchcliffe responded. “I don’t think they expected black voters to think, ‘Hey, they beat that guy, they’re going to do the same to us.'”
“Yeah! That’s what they do to everybody,” Logan replied. “And they accept immigrants and pretend they’re there for everybody.”
He went on to call the United States a “banana republic” and Mexico a “banana republic” without assassinations.
Trump was convicted by a jury of 34 felony counts related to hush money paid to him following his alleged affair with adult film producer Stormy Daniels, which was allegedly made to influence the 2016 presidential election.
“They expose how corrupt the system is.”
In another part of the podcast, Rogan marveled that Democrats have revealed their corrupt nature by indicting Trump in the Stormy Daniels case.
“I think this is the worst of all the things happening at the same time: the emergence of AI, the friendship between China and Russia, and us being run by a dead guy,” Logan said.
“They’re trying to stop this guy from running, exposing how corrupt the Democratic Party is. Exposing how corrupt the system is,” he added. “What’s the point of just charging this guy with 34 felony counts for bribing women he had sex with?”
Trump faces two federal and Georgia lawsuits over election interference. A judge previously found he falsified asset valuations to obtain lucrative financial services. He also faces a federal investigation into allegations that he illegally handled classified documents recovered from his Mar-a-Lago home.
He is scheduled to be sentenced July 11 on 34 felony counts in the Stormy Daniels case.
