Man, 41, stabbed repeatedly on subway in NYC

A 41-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the arm as a Bronx subway train arrived at the station Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

According to the New York Police Department, the victim was stabbed in the right arm with a knife while boarding a southbound Platform 2 train just before arriving at the Jackson Avenue 2/5 station in Melrose around 3:00 p.m.

According to the New York Police Department, the victim was stabbed in the right arm with a knife while boarding a southbound Platform 2 train just before arriving at the Jackson Avenue 2/5 station in Melrose around 3:00 p.m. Google Maps

Police said the injured man rushed off the train and pleaded with station staff to call 911.

Meanwhile, the attacker remained on the train after the violent incident in broad daylight.

Paramedics rushed the victim to NYC Health Hospital/Lincoln, where he is in stable condition, according to the NYPD.

Police said it was unclear what caused the bloody incident and that a suspect remained on the run Wednesday night.
