To the surprise of no one, Dr. Anthony Fauci’s recent testimony was full of what some called nonsense. But it was also full of tears.
“Dr. Fauci, can you tell us about the nature of the threats you’ve received since the COVID-19 pandemic began?” he was asked.
“Yes, there has been harassment of myself, my wife and our three daughters through emails, text messages, letters, everything,” Fauci replied.
“I received credible death threats and two people were arrested. And by credible death threats I mean people who were clearly trying to kill me,” he continued, adding, “I was basically in need of an escort service all the time.”
“It’s very troubling for me, but even more troubling is that it involves my wife and three daughters,” he said.
At this point, he was asked what “feelings” these moments give him.
Tears well up in his eyes and wrinkles form on his face.
“It’s awful,” he said, his voice choking up, saying he received threats “every time someone stands up in the House of Commons and says I’m responsible for the deaths of people all over the world.”
Megyn Kelly and Dave Rubin are incredible.
“Well, yeah,” Kelly says annoyed, “no one’s gonna feel sorry for you.”
“Meghan, have you ever received a mean email or text message?” Rubin asked.
“Want to see my death threats? Let’s look back over the last 10 years,” Kelly laughs.
