I woke up this morning to New York Times headlines: “Trump Vows to Prosecute Rivals, Put Rule of Law to the Vote,” “Trump Vows Legal Vengeance Against Opponents,” “Trump Wants Retribution. It’s Dangerous, Illegal, Un-American.” The man who was excited is now feeling chills.
So it is retaliation not to lock up the guy who locked you up. What if it is retaliation? I want my money back.

Trump is not saying he will lock up his opponents. He is saying he can because the Democrats have opened Pandora’s box by locking up people against him. “Can” and “will” are two different things.
