First appeared on FOX: The Democratic candidate running in what is likely to be one of the biggest battlegrounds in this year’s Senate race is being accused of “pandering” to black voters with taxpayer-funded reparations.
Conservative PAC Win it Back announced a new ad launch on Friday as part of a seven-figure media buy targeting Texas Rep. Collin Allred, the Democratic candidate for the Senate. The ad specifically accuses Allred of having ties to the movement for reparations for Black Americans.
The ad will air in the El Paso media market starting Friday in the midst of the Texas Democratic Convention in El Paso. The convention is targeted at Hispanic voters, who the group’s research shows are largely opposed to reparations. The ad will air in both English and French. Spanish.

“My grandparents came in the ’60s seeking the American dream. They were farm workers. My grandmother always said, ‘con tant sacrificio,'” said a Hispanic woman named Sonia. The ad reads:He quoted a Spanish phrase that means “at great sacrifice.”
“No one gave this to me and no one is going to take it away. Colin Allred is trying to take our tax dollars to pay for reparations. I don’t agree with taking from one group to pander to another. I grew up poor and worked hard and I don’t think it’s fair that I have to pay the price. This is all pandering. Colin Allred is not fighting for us,” she added.
A majority of Hispanic voters (58%) say they would not support repaying the descendants of American slaves with cash or land, according to a 2022 survey. Published by Pew Research Center.

Fox News Digital reached out to Allred’s campaign to ask about her position on reparations and her reaction to the ad.
Allred is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and has been active in pro-reparations organizations, including as vice chair of the board of directors for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

The few polls conducted in the race suggest Allred is trailing incumbent Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the November general election and has a lot of ground to make up in a traditionally Republican state.
