TMZ reported that he claimed Burbank police shifted the blame to Los Angeles after arresting a homeless man in their jurisdiction, an action that Krekorian said illustrates a broader problem of neighboring communities pushing the homeless problem onto Los Angeles while ignoring the welfare of those involved.

A law enforcement source provided some context about the situation, telling TMZ that officers responded to the scene earlier that morning after receiving a report of a nude man on a bench. The man was reportedly dressed by officers and asked for transportation, and was driven to North Hollywood. Burbank police said the man initially asked to be dropped off at a bus stop, but then asked to get out of the car where he was found, TMZ reported.
The Burbank Police Department confirmed that they are investigating the incident. According to TMZ, police clarified that the decision to book the man was based on an assessment that he did not meet the criteria for a 5150 hold, which applies to individuals who may be a danger to themselves or others due to mental health issues.
