A cyclist riding an electric city bike was killed after being struck by a beer delivery truck in Manhattan, police said.
Police say the fatal incident happened on Friday just after 2pm.
Authorities said the driver of a Lagunitas beer truck, 26, was heading east on West 50th Street when he made a right turn onto 11th Avenue and struck the 32-year-old cyclist.
Emergency responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene, police said.
“The truck driver remains at the scene, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing,” an NYPD spokesman told The Post.
The victim’s name will not be released until her family has been notified, the spokesman added.
Recently in Brooklyn, a daring car thief crashed into several vehicles while trying to elude police pursuit.
The 17-year-old thief came under police surveillance at about 9.10am while driving a stolen black Mercedes without permission in Gravesend.
A few hours later, officers found the Mercedes Benz on East 52nd Street near H Avenue, according to the report.
However, when police attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect sped away.
To make matters worse, the suspect attempted to shake off officers and sped south on one-way East 52nd Street, crashing into a parked Mercedes, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a silver Toyota, police said.
As police closed in, the reckless suspect crashed into two more vehicles, a Hyundai Kona and a Jeep Grand Cherokee, at E. 52nd St. and Ave I, before jumping from the Mercedes and driving off, authorities said.
According to a NYPD spokesman, police arrested a person for speeding near East 54th Street at I Avenue at 11:49 p.m.
The suspect, whose name has not been released because of his age, was charged with grand theft, possession of stolen property, endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration, the spokesman said.
