Audrey Hale, the 28-year-old woman who shot and killed six people at a Nashville Christian school on March 27, 2023, believing they were men, wanted to return home and kill her father after the attack.
On Friday, Brian Wilson of 99.7 WTN Afternoon Radio released excerpts from an interview with Metro Nashville Police Department investigators and Hale’s parents, as well as the Tennessee Star. Published Transcript.
During questioning, police asked Hale’s father and mother if they knew about her obsession with gender reassignment and whether she had ever displayed homicidal tendencies.
“None of her therapists felt they had any obligation to warn anyone,” her father, Ronald, said.
Police investigators discovered that Hale had become obsessed with the Columbine tapes.
“[Hale] she, [the Columbine shooters]”She empathized with them and found out how they were feeling, and she went and bought the tapes and the book,” the agent said, “and was curious if you guys had heard of this, if they had ever mentioned it, if she had ever told you guys these things.”
Hale’s mother, Norma, said she had no knowledge of it.
A little further into the conversation, the investigators spoke specifically about Hale’s diary, noting that she was very organized and methodical.
Investigators told Ronald, “One plan was for her to get up early in the morning and slash the tires on her father’s car before the incident. After the incident, she would try to distract herself and run away from the school, but would come back and try to harm her father. I believe what she was trying to do was to kill you…”
The second agent ended that thought by telling Ronald, “I’ll be honest with you, she wanted to kill you.”
Investigators said Hale was once recorded sneaking up behind her father and practicing assaulting him before returning to her room.
On June 7, 2024, Breitbart News broke a Tennessee Star report that Hale had left a handwritten note focusing on an “imaginary penis.”
Hale, who is biologically female, reportedly wrote, “My penis is in my head. I swear to God I am a man.”
Police cornered Hale on the second floor of Covenant School and neutralized her just minutes after she shot and killed six innocent people.
