Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich spoke on Fox News Friday night and emphasized his fears that Democrats are becoming “extreme and dangerous” as the election approaches.
Gingrich appeared on “Hannity” to discuss the upcoming presidential election and the issues former President Donald Trump may face. Fox host Sean Hannity began by questioning Gingrich about federal agencies’ refusal to admit the infamous Hunter Biden laptop into evidence, linking it to the current trial facing President Joe Biden’s son. “I don’t think it’s complicated. We have a system that is deeply corrupt. It hates America, it hates the values that we stand for, and it’s hell-bent on changing every rule, from whether we have two genders to whether religious beliefs matter to whether we should stand and pledge allegiance to our flag. You just look at the list,” Gingrich said.
“For example, if you look at the study that Scott Rasmussen did of the top 1% of the financial intellectual elite, they were literally [on] “They live on another planet, and Donald J. Trump has been threatening to literally destroy their world since 2015. So my advice to the Trump campaign is simple: The left is about to realize that everything they’ve done has failed. That’s what the polling numbers show. So the conservative side needs some kind of planning team that imagines what would happen if they were malicious, dishonest, desperate, with the power of the FBI and the Department of Justice and all the other powers that the establishment has. What will they do in the next four months? They’re not going to be easily defeated.”
“They’re not going to say, ‘Yes, it’s true that Joe Biden is totally incompetent, it’s true that the world is really dangerous and has become more dangerous because of his incompetence.’ They’re going to say, ‘What do we have to do to stop Trump and the Trump movement?’ And given their track record since 2015, I’m really worried about how extreme and dangerous they’re going to become in the next five months,” Gingrich said.
Hunter Biden is Charged On December 7, 2023, Hunter Biden was indicted by Special Counsel David Weiss on charges of making false statements while under the influence of drugs, possessing a firearm, and purchasing a Colt Cobra revolver in October 2018. As the trial began, Hunter Biden’s defense team questioned the veracity of the contents of the laptop and attempted to deny the prosecution’s use of the evidence.
After the laptop was discovered in 2020, some intelligence officials raised doubts about it, claiming it “has all the typical hallmarks of a Russian intelligence operation.” It wasn’t until January 2024 that the Department of Justice first acknowledged the validity of the laptop’s contents.
