As political, ideological and spiritual wars continue around the world, many have suggested that the end times are near. Pastor Max Lucado is one such person who said: Glenn Beck “All the players are there.”
The end has been hinted at for a long time, but Glenn finally sees it all coming together.
“If you didn’t see World War II as a possible second coming of Christ, I don’t know what was wrong with you,” Glenn said. “But maybe you read the Bible enough to think, ‘There’s not enough of it to say now is the time,'” he said.
“The big difference between now and World War II is the existence of the state of Israel,” Lucado said. “That’s a prophecy.”
“Those miracles, those signs, it seems to me, Glenn, that we are in the last days,” he continues. “Israel is to be a nation where many of the prophecies are fulfilled, including the rebuilding of the temple.”
Lucado believes that what is happening in the world is being discussed politically, but also needs to be discussed spiritually.
“Something is happening here that has never happened in any generation in history. We don’t know when Christ is going to return. No one knows,” Lucado said, explaining that the last book of the Bible was not written to instill fear in people.
“He gave it to us so that we wouldn’t be scared. He gave it to us so that we would see and know that big changes are coming,” he said. “He did these things not to scare us, but to prepare us. He told us these things so that we wouldn’t panic.”
And despite Satan’s influence telling us not to, there has never been a better time to turn to God in faith, not fear.
“Satan has never spoken a single truth, and when he sees people like you and others trying to deal with the anxieties of life through faith and turning to God, he steps in,” Lucado says. “The last thing Satan wants right now as a human being is for us to have faith and turn to God.”
