Brittany Mahomes revealed she wasn’t present at the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 2024 ring ceremony in Kansas City on Thursday.
The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes posted a video to her Instagram Story of him and teammate tight end Travis Kelce competing to crack the code on a ring box to reveal the jewel inside.
Chiefs players were given codes to open their own personalized ring boxes, and as seen in Brittany’s video, it appears Mahomes, 28, got his ring before Kelce, 34.
Best friends off the field, the dynamic duo have won three Super Bowls together, including a 25-22 win over the 49ers in Las Vegas in February.
Mahomes, looking dapper in a black suit and tinted sunglasses, gazed upon the ring with a broad smile before placing it on his finger for the first time.
Brittany also shared a photo of her holding Mahomes’ hand, who is wearing one of his three Super Bowl championship rings.
The Chiefs are the first team to win back-to-back championships since the Patriots in 2003-04.
Prior to that February win, Kansas City had defeated the Eagles 38-35 in last year’s Super Bowl.
Mahomes and Kelce won their first Super Bowl title together in February 2020, beating the 49ers 31-20.
That evening, Mahomes and Brittany posed for photos on the red carpet, where the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model looked stunning in an off-the-shoulder red dress.
“Xthree,” she wrote on Instagram, a reference to Mahomes’ three Super Bowl rings.
Mahomes completed 34 of 46 attempts for 333 yards and two touchdowns in the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl win over the 49ers.
Kansas City struggled during the regular season and entered the playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the AFC.
Photos from the star-studded celebration showed Mahomes and Brittany partying with Kelsey and his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift, after the big game in Las Vegas.
Swift, a 14-time Grammy Award winner, did not attend the Chiefs’ ring ceremony because she is currently on tour.
Brittany and Swift, 34, developed a friendship throughout the 2023 season as Swift and Kelsey’s romance deepened.
The Chiefs open the 2024-25 season on Sept. 5 in Kansas City against the Ravens.
