The New York Police Department (NYPD) said the burning of the flag outside the Israeli Consulate was a dangerous act that forced motorcyclists to change lanes and put pedestrians at risk.
“Flaming flags are a danger to cyclists who have to step out of the bike lane and into traffic, and they are also a danger to civilians on the sidewalk,” police said.
