TMZ reported Friday that Dr. Mehmet Oz rescued an unconscious passenger during a flight to Cabo.
Oz once again demonstrated his medical expertise and quick response during an in-flight emergency. according to According to TMZ, Oz was on a flight from New York to Cabo San Lucas for a wedding when he tended to a fellow passenger who had a sudden health crisis. About an hour into the flight, one of the passengers lost consciousness.

“[A] “A middle-aged, healthy male was found unconscious and we performed the usual triage with a physical exam and vital signs. After giving him oxygen and orange juice and time he recovered but will need to be further evaluated by a local doctor,” Oz told TMZ.
Oz’s quick intervention helped the man recover, but he advised him to seek further medical attention once back on the ground. TMZ reports that Oz even gave the man his phone number before parting ways with him at their destination so he could get further help if needed. The incident adds to Oz’s history of medical emergency assistance. According to TMZ, he previously performed a life-saving operation at Newark Airport in 2021, where he used a defibrillator to revive a man who had collapsed and was pulseless and had suspected symptoms. The man was safely revived and taken to the hospital for further treatment.
