Dramatic body camera footage captured the moment elite Israeli forces rescued hostage Noor al-Ghamani from eight months of Hamas captivity during a daring and “complex” operation in Gaza.
Al-Ghamani, who was abducted by Hamas terrorists from the Supernova music festival on October 7 and quickly became a symbol of terror attacks against the Jewish state, was rescued on June 8 inside an apartment building in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
“Noah, it’s OK. We’re taking you home,” the officer tells Al-Ghamani. Israel Police On Saturday. “Noah, I’m taking you home. It’s okay, I’ll walk you to the car.”
Al-Ghamani, 26, a China-born Israeli citizen, was one of four hostages rescued during the operation.
She was inside one of two three- to four-story Hamas-occupied buildings holding prisoners that were targeted by the IDF.
During the raid, Al-Ghamani was quickly escorted out of the building and carried onto the back of one of the Israeli special forces members.
A loud explosion can be heard and troops appear to wait in the doorway while a gunfight takes place in the background.
The team then quickly loaded into a vehicle and everyone climbed in and took off, eventually taking her to Sheba Medical Center near Tel Aviv.
“We are from Yaman (police) and Shabak (ISA),” one of the people in the car explained to Al-Ghamani. “We are very happy and proud that you are here.”
“I’m very excited but also very scared about the journey,” a heartbroken Al-Ghamani told rescuers.
She quickly reassured me, “Everything is OK. You’re with us. Everything is OK.”
Al-Ghamani, who survived a terror attack at a music festival that killed 360 people, was kidnapped and taken to Gaza on the back of a motorbike driven by terrorists.
She later told her family that she was convinced she would be publicly lynched by a waiting mob. According to Israel’s Channel 13.
Al-Ghamani said that during her captivity in the Gaza Strip, she was forced to dress as a Palestinian woman on the rare occasions she was allowed outside.
She also said that during her eight months of captivity, she moved from one apartment to another and came close to death four times, including surviving an alleged Israeli airstrike.
Al-Ghamani was forced to announce in January that he had been killed in the attack after the terrorist group released a gory propaganda video in January showing the dead bodies of fellow hostages Yossi Shalabi and Itay Svirski, who were allegedly killed in the attack.
Al-Ghamani was rescued from a wealthy Gaza family, but had to persuade them to allow her to bathe.
Heartwarming photos show a free Al-Ghamani embracing his father after finally being reunited with him.
The video of her rescue came five days after a similar video was released showing Israeli forces rescuing three other hostages during the same raid in a different nearby location.
Almog Meir Yan, 21, Andrey Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, were rescued by troops who simultaneously stormed two high-rise buildings during Operation Arnon.
During the operation, the commander of the YAMMU counterterrorism unit, Arnon Zamora, was killed.
Zamora’s forces played a key role in the successful return of the hostages.
