Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, an illegal immigrant who crossed the border illegally in 2023, is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape.
Martinez-Hernandez raped and murdered Rachel Morin, a mother of five children.
In a major development, law enforcement officials have arrested Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez in Tulsa for the heinous murder of Rachel Morin, a loving Harford County mother of five, whose body was discovered near a hiking trail in August 2023.
Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gullah released details about Martinez-Hernandez’s arrest at a press conference on Saturday. According to the sheriff, Martinez-Hernandez, 23, of El Salvador, was taken into custody late Friday night and then an arrest warrant was issued for him Saturday morning. He is currently facing charges of first-degree murder and first-degree rape.
Sheriff Gahler wasted no time in expressing his gratitude to the Tulsa Police Department and their federal partners for their cooperation. “Five hours after meeting with (Maureen’s) family, just before midnight local time, Tulsa, Oklahoma Police Department, with the assistance of our federal partners, located and arrested Rachel’s murderer, Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez,” Sheriff Gahler said.
The sheriff further revealed that Martinez-Hernandez crossed the border into the United States in February 2023, adding, “It is our understanding that this suspect, this monster, murdered a young woman in El Salvador one month prior in January 2023, before fleeing to the United States.” Even more frightening, after entering the United States, Martinez-Hernandez committed a horrific home invasion in March 2023, viciously attacking a 9-year-old girl and her mother in Los Angeles.
Trump slammed Joe Biden over the matter.
“Rachel Morin’s five young children will be growing up without a mother because Crawdad Joe refuses to close the border,” Trump said.
