Bill Gates isn’t giving up on eradicating cow farts.
In a recent public remark, Gates explained how he plans to stop them.
“You know what happens with beef. My environmental organization, Breakthrough Energy, just today announced an investment in an Australian organization, Lumin8, which is helping to stop cows becoming a source of methane emissions,” Gates said.
“So there are two ways to solve this problem: 6 percent of global emissions come from cows, and they burp and fart a lot of methane,” he continued, drawing laughter from the audience.
“Either we can improve cows so that they don’t do that, or we can make beef without cows, and we’ll pursue both and see which results in the best product in terms of taste, health and cost,” he concluded.
Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report, who himself follows a version of the now-famous carnivore diet, isn’t happy with Gates.
“It’s interesting that Bill Gates, the largest farm owner in the United States, wants to make cows burp and fart less or do something to get us to stop eating meat,” Rubin said.
“Either way, I feel he would benefit greatly from one of them,” he added.
