The prince misses his palace.
Prince Harry, 39, is reportedly feeling “homesick” as he searches for a new home across the ocean.
Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, He told Fox News Digital “We’ve heard that Harry is happy with his new lifestyle but also homesick,” she said in the interview published Tuesday as the Duke of Sussex looks at properties in the UK.
Prince Harry currently lives in Montecito, California with his wife Meghan Markle, 42, and their children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibeth, 3.
“That will depend on the day. We know that Prince Harry may get homesick and has a tendency to show his emotions,” Schofield continued. “Meghan may be open to him having a second home in the UK if that would make him happy, but we don’t believe she would be keen to be involved in that process or visit.”
But Schofield said Prince Harry “is unlikely to take any drastic or financial steps until he has resolved the security issues”.
King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold, recently told The Post that Prince Harry had been considering buying property in his home country.
“It’s something he wanted and something he was thinking about, and now I guess he’s decided that’s what he wants,” Harold said.
“It was probably a joint decision initially not to have a home in the UK, but over time people’s views and decisions can change.”
“There’s only one family, and he suddenly realised that,” Harold added.
Earlier this year, Prince Harry renounced his British residency and claimed America as his home in new paperwork, in which he declared his “new country/state” to be the “United States of America.”
The move was backdated to June 29, 2023 – the same day he and the former Suits member, 42, officially moved out of Frogmore Cottage, meaning they no longer have a UK residence to their name.
“She feels rejected by the UK and that’s uncomfortable for her,” Schofield said. “I don’t think she’s even going to win over the British people again. Meghan is totally focused on winning over the Hollywood elite with jam and dog treats,” she said, referring to a new product line for Markle’s lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
The news comes as Kate Middleton, amid her battle with cancer, was back in the spotlight at the Trooping the Colour celebrations over the weekend.
With King Charles also battling cancer, Schofield said, “I don’t think the family cares.” [Harry] “Buying a property in England. I think they’re both obsessed with healing and loving each other right now.”
The Washington Post has reached out to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
