Migrant Accused of Raping Girl at Knifepoint in Broad Daylight

An Ecuadorian migrant who was released into the United States by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint in broad daylight in the sanctuary city of New York City.

Christian Inga, a 25-year-old migrant from Ecuador, arrived at the U.S.-Mexico border near Eagle Pass, Texas, with his 3-year-old child in June 2021. On Tuesday, the New York Police Department (NYPD) Charged He was charged with rape, sexual abuse, robbery, kidnapping, unlawful possession of a weapon, intimidation and false imprisonment.

This week, according to the New York Police Department, Approaching the Two 13-year-old boys were arrested near Kissena Park in East Flushing, Queens, after they had just left school. Police say Inga demanded that they follow him into a wooded area of ​​the park, and when they initially refused, he brandished a machete knife.

Police said Inga lured the two children into the woods, tied them up and raped the 13-year-old girl. After the rape, he stole their mobile phones and ordered them to stay put for 20 minutes.

The students quickly returned to school and reported the attack.

After being arrested by the NYPD, Inga identified himself from surveillance footage and told police he had a drug problem and “I found a knife and this was the first time I’d ever done anything like this,” said Detective Superintendent Joseph Kenney.

This isn’t Inga’s first brush with the law: He has received summonses three times in the past: once in December 2022 for open container possession, once in March 2023 for jumping a subway ticket barrier, and once in May 2023 for trespassing.

Inga also called NYPD officers to break up a fight at her Queens home in January. No arrests were made, but police did file a domestic violence report.

Inga remains in New York Police Department custody pending arraignment.
